Dolores Volunteer Fire Department (wildland fire)
After the very dry winter going into 2018, Becca asked to serve Dolores Fire in an active role as a wildland firefighter.
Becca has refreshed her 15 year old wildand fire training and learned many skills including operating brush trucks and chain-saws.
She has coordinated many pile burning support projects, and participated in her first federal broadcast prescribed fire in 2019.
Provide wildfire prevention and preparedness lessons.

Dolores Elementary PTA: Book swaps, sales, and kids carnivals, fundraisers, and help feed the teachers during conferences
Girls on the Run: This was a great way to give back when my boys started at Dolores Elementary, helping to coach 3rd-5th grade girls on helpful life lessons and running with them. What a great way to get to know some of students my boys were joining in school.
Ready to dive in for Booster club and supporting middle school events and sports now that one son is in middle school.

After taking the Director position for Fire Adapted Colorado and hiring a new coordinator for the DWRF collaborative, Rebecca continued on as a volunteer with the collaborative.
